Teaching Internship Phase II - Reflective Journal (Week 5)

Day 18 - 12/02/2026

Today, I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. Today, I had class in IX A at the fourth period and IX D at the sixth period. The classes went smoothly and the students were very attentive. The remaining time was used to complete the academic works. During the third period, a quiz competition titled "Chief minister's mega quiz" was conducted. I left the school today at 3:45 p.m., after signing the attendance register.

Day 19 - 13/01/2026

Today, I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. and on reaching there, I signed the attendance register. After that, we went to the staffroom. Today I have class on the 5th period on IX A and seventh  period on IX D. As the third period was free, I conducted the remedial teaching for the diagnostic test during that period. The remaining time today was used for completing the academic works. I left the school today at 3:45 p.m.

Day 20 - 14/01/2026

Today I reached the school at 8:50 a.m. On reaching the school, I went to the headmaster's office and signed the attendance register. After that, I went to serve the morning food for the students. My class today was at sixth period in IX A and second period in IX D. As the fourth period was free for IX A, I used that period to conduct the Achievement test. During the seventh period, I went to VIII C for a substitution period. I used that period to teach the students some basic spellings as instructed by the teacher. I left the school today at 4:00 p.m.

Day 21 - 16/01/2026

Today I reached the school at 9:15 a.m. Then I went to the headmaster's office to sign the attendance register. Today, I had class at second period in IX D and sixth period in IX A. During the fourth period, I went to VIII D for a substitution period. Some words needed for their examinations were revised as per teacher's instructions. The remaining time was used for completing the academic works. I left the school today at 3:50 p.m.

     As a part of our B.Ed curriculum, we 11 student teachers of Sree Narayana Training College Nedunganda went to Sree Chithiravilasam Boys High School Chirayinkeezhu for our  Phase 1 Internship Programme. Our group consisted of three students from English optional, three students from Physical Science optional, two students from Social Science optional and two students from Natural Science optional. The first phase of our internship started on 14th July 2025. Internship Phase I Reflective Journal (Week 10)

Day 43 22/09/2025 Today I reached the school at 7:45 a.m. and after having breakfast, we wrapped the prizes for the winners of the competition held as part of the conscientization programme on the topic Health, hygieine and awareness. At 9.15 a.m., we signed the morning attendance and asked the permission of the headmistress to distribute the prizes during the school assembly. The assembly began with prayer and pledge by the students, followed by a short talk by the headmistress. Afterwards, Rohini invited the headmistress to distribute the prizes to the winners of the competition. Karishma called the students to the stage. Today Rani Miss came to observe classes. As Chitra miss have already done my class observation, I didn't have class observation today. Today I had period on the second period.
