Internship Phase I Reflective Journal (Week 10)

Day 43
22/09/2025

Today I reached the school at 7:45 a.m. and after having breakfast, we wrapped the prizes for the winners of the competition held as part of the conscientization programme on the topic Health, hygieine and awareness. At 9.15 a.m., we signed the morning attendance and asked the permission of the headmistress to distribute the prizes during the school assembly. The assembly began with prayer and pledge by the students, followed by a short talk by the headmistress. Afterwards, Rohini invited the headmistress to distribute the prizes to the winners of the competition. Karishma called the students to the stage. Today Rani Miss came to observe classes. As Chitra miss have already done my class observation, I didn't have class observation today. Today I had period on the second period. During the sixth period I got to take class for IX C as the hour was free for them. During the seventh period I conducted the achievement test. I left the school today at 4:05 p.m.

Day 44
23/09/2025

Today, I reached the school at 8:00 a.m. Today I had class on the fifth period. As the seventh period was free, I got to take class in that period and continued with the poem 'Success' written by H W Longfellow. I left the school today at 3:55 p.m.

Day 45
24/09/2025

Today, I reached the school at 7:30 a.m. As the second period was free I went to IX C in that period and continued with the chapter. During the lunch break, I went to serve the noon meals for the students. I had class on the fifth period and I conducted the diagnostic test in that period. I left the school at 4:05 p.m today.

Day 46
25/09/2025

Today I reached the school at 7:45 a.m. Today I had class at the second period. I took my innovative lesson template in that period. As the fifth period was free for IX C, I went there for the fifth period. We left the school at 4:15 p.m.

     As a part of our B.Ed curriculum, we 11 student teachers of Sree Narayana Training College Nedunganda went to Sree Chithiravilasam Boys High School Chirayinkeezhu for our  Phase 1 Internship Programme. Our group consisted of three students from English optional, three students from Physical Science optional, two students from Social Science optional and two students from Natural Science optional. The first phase of our internship started on 14th July 2025.
