Teaching Internship Phase II - Reflective Journal (Week 4)

Day 16 - 07/01/2026

Today, we returned to school after a long gap, due to the examinations and christmas holidays. We reached the school at 9:00 a.m. signed the attendance register. Today, it was our responsibility to serve the food for the students. I went to serve the morning breakfast for the students. Today I had class in the second period for IX A. I also had class in IX D at the sixth period. Today I also distributed and made students fill a questionnaire as part of a minor research. There was also a quiz programme organised by the KSEB today at the school auditorium. We left the school today at 3:45 p.m., after signing the attendance register. 

Day 17 - 08/01/2026

Today I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. On reaching there, I signed the attendance register. Today, Dr Reetha Ravi ma'am arrived at the school to observe our classes. We were asked to arrange the classes back to back. After the observations, she left the school. Today, my period was at the sixth hour in IX A. I left the school today at 3:45 p.m., after signing the attendance register.

     As a part of our B.Ed curriculum, we 11 student teachers of Sree Narayana Training College Nedunganda went to Sree Chithiravilasam Boys High School Chirayinkeezhu for our  Phase 1 Internship Programme. Our group consisted of three students from English optional, three students from Physical Science optional, two students from Social Science optional and two students from Natural Science optional. The first phase of our internship started on 14th July 2025. Internship Phase I Reflective Journal (Week 10)

Day 43 22/09/2025 Today I reached the school at 7:45 a.m. and after having breakfast, we wrapped the prizes for the winners of the competition held as part of the conscientization programme on the topic Health, hygieine and awareness. At 9.15 a.m., we signed the morning attendance and asked the permission of the headmistress to distribute the prizes during the school assembly. The assembly began with prayer and pledge by the students, followed by a short talk by the headmistress. Afterwards, Rohini invited the headmistress to distribute the prizes to the winners of the competition. Karishma called the students to the stage. Today Rani Miss came to observe classes. As Chitra miss have already done my class observation, I didn't have class observation today. Today I had period on the second period.
