Teaching Internship Phase II - Reflective Journal (Week 3)

Day 11 - 01/12/2025

Today, there was no regular classes as it was the inauguration day of the Attingal Educational District School Youth Festival. Our school served as one of the stages for the programme.  Since it was the inauguration day, no programme was conducted in our school. 
As there was no classes, we used the time to complete our works. The day provided as an opportunity to get a first hand experience on how schools function as venues for large scale cultural events like youth festivals. We left the school today at 3: 35 p.m.

Day 12 - 02/12/2025

There was no regular class today. It was the second day of the School Youth Festival of the Attingal Educational District. I reached the school at 9:10 a.m. Our school served as the stage for Mohiniyattam competition. Today, we actively assisted the teachers and staff members in managing the event. We also got the opportunity to enjoy the cultural events. We left the school today at 3:45 p.m. 

Day 13 - 03/12/2025

There was no regular class today. Today was the third School Youth Festival of the Attingal Educational District. Our school served as the venue for the Bharathanatyam competition. All the performances were splendid. We had our lunch today, from the youth festival food committee. The food was nice. Overall, the day was enriching and enjoyable as it provided exposure to cultural activities beyond regular academic routines.

Day 14 - 04/12/2025

Today was the fourth day of the District Youth Festival and our school today hosted the Kuchipudi competition. All the performances were graceful and vibrant. Watching those performances were an enjoyable and enriching experience. We also found time to write our lesson plans along with watching the competition. The day was pleasant and productive. We left the school at 3:40 p.m. today.

Day 15 - 05/12/2025

Today was the fifth and final day of District Youth Festival. We reached the school at 9:00 a.m. After signing the attendance register, we moved on to the stage. There was no regular class today. Today, we planned for the upcoming diagnostic and achievement tests. The day provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on our progress. Overall it was a well spent day. We left the school at 3:45 p.m.
