Teaching Internship Phase II - Reflective Journal (Week 2)

Day 6 - 24/11/2025

Today I reached the school at 8:55 a.m. Today we were supposed to serve the morning and afternoon food to the students. So all of us were early. The students started coming to eat food from 9:05 onwards. We served food to all the students that arrived. After 9:20 a.m, we went to our staff room. Today my class was at the 4th period. I continued with the chapter 'Toys to Teens'. After the class, I went to serve the noon meals for the students. I had the afternoon free so I used the time to write the lesson templates. I left the school today at 3:45 p.m.

Day 7 - 25/11/2025

Today I reached the school at 9:15 a.m. After signing the attendance register, I went to our staff room. Today my class was at the second period. I continued with the chapter 'Toys to Teens'. Before the class I met with my concerned teacher and got the signature in the lesson plan. Today I was asked to teach the students who were preparing for the NMMS examination from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. I along with Induja gave them mental processing exercises. As I had the afternoon free, I used that time to write the remaining lesson templates. I left the school today at 3:45 a.m.

Day 8 - 26/11/2025

Today I reached the school at 9:25 a.m. After signing the attendance register I went to our staff room. My class today was at 5th period. I continued with the chapter 'Toys to Teens'. Today I also got a substitution period in VIII D in the seventh period. It was an IT period was them and the teacher was on leave. I interacted with the students and introduced myself. After the ball rang, I stayed in the class till every student left and then went to the staff room. I left the school today at 3:50 p.m.

Day 9 - 27/11/2025

Today I reached the school at 8:50 a.m. Today we were assigned to serve the morning and afternoon food. Today because of the elections, due to the unavailability of classrooms, many divisions had no class. So only some students arrived to eat food. Today I had period at 6th period. I also got a substitution class at 5th period. The students were very attentive and co-operative We left the school today at 3:45 p.m. 

Day 10 - 28/11/2025 

Today, I reached the school at 9:15 a.m. On reaching the school, I went to the headmaster's office and signed the attendance register. Today , my class was at sixth period. The students were co-operative throughout the class. We left the school today at 3:45 p.m.

     As a part of our B.Ed curriculum, we 11 student teachers of Sree Narayana Training College Nedunganda went to Sree Chithiravilasam Boys High School Chirayinkeezhu for our  Phase 1 Internship Programme. Our group consisted of three students from English optional, three students from Physical Science optional, two students from Social Science optional and two students from Natural Science optional. The first phase of our internship started on 14th July 2025. Internship Phase I Reflective Journal (Week 10)

Day 43 22/09/2025 Today I reached the school at 7:45 a.m. and after having breakfast, we wrapped the prizes for the winners of the competition held as part of the conscientization programme on the topic Health, hygieine and awareness. At 9.15 a.m., we signed the morning attendance and asked the permission of the headmistress to distribute the prizes during the school assembly. The assembly began with prayer and pledge by the students, followed by a short talk by the headmistress. Afterwards, Rohini invited the headmistress to distribute the prizes to the winners of the competition. Karishma called the students to the stage. Today Rani Miss came to observe classes. As Chitra miss have already done my class observation, I didn't have class observation today. Today I had period on the second period.
