Internship Phase I Reflective Journal (Week 9)

Day 40
15/09/2025

Today, I reached the school at 7:50 a.m. Today I had class on the second period and I continued with the chapter 'The Toilet' written by Gcina Mhlope. Today the Social Science optional teacher came for class observation in the morning. After the fourth period I went to serve the noon meals for the students. I had no period in the afternoon. I left the school today at 3:55 p.m. 

Day 41
16/09/2025

Today was the Sports Day for the students of SCVBHS Chirayinkeezhu. All the students participated very actively in the sports programme. The students were very enthusiastic. I had been given several duties during the competition and I enjoyed every bit. The students performed very well in all the competitions. The programme was conducted on the school grounds. The programme continued till evening. We left the school today at 4:15 p.m.

Day 42
17/09/2025 

Today, I reached the school at 7:55 a.m. I had class on the fifth period. Today I also got another period in IX C as the chemistry teacher was on leave. During the lunch break, some of us went to serve the noon meals. We left the school today at 4:00 p.m.

     As a part of our B.Ed curriculum, we 11 student teachers of Sree Narayana Training College Nedunganda went to Sree Chithiravilasam Boys High School Chirayinkeezhu for our  Phase 1 Internship Programme. Our group consisted of three students from English optional, three students from Physical Science optional, two students from Social Science optional and two students from Natural Science optional. The first phase of our internship started on 14th July 2025. Internship Phase I Reflective Journal (Week 10)

Day 43 22/09/2025 Today I reached the school at 7:45 a.m. and after having breakfast, we wrapped the prizes for the winners of the competition held as part of the conscientization programme on the topic Health, hygieine and awareness. At 9.15 a.m., we signed the morning attendance and asked the permission of the headmistress to distribute the prizes during the school assembly. The assembly began with prayer and pledge by the students, followed by a short talk by the headmistress. Afterwards, Rohini invited the headmistress to distribute the prizes to the winners of the competition. Karishma called the students to the stage. Today Rani Miss came to observe classes. As Chitra miss have already done my class observation, I didn't have class observation today. Today I had period on the second period.
