Internship Phase I - Reflective Journal (Week 7)

DAY 32 - 25/08/2025

Today, I reached the school at 7:45 a.m. I was assigned to look after children who did not have exams, both in the morning and evening. Today the 8th standard students had First Language paper 2 in the afternoon. The 9th standard students had Chemistry in the morning and Physics in the afternoon. The 10th standard students had Physics in the morning.

DAY 33 - 26/08/2025

Today I reached the school at 7:45 a.m.  I looked after the students without exams in the morning. In the afternoon, I had exam duty. In the afternoon, I had exam duty. It was the last day of First Terminal Examinations for the students. The 8th standard students had Basic Science in the morning. The 9th standard students had First Language paper 1 in the morning. The 10th standard students had Chemistry in the morning and Biology in the afternoon. We left the school at 3:45 p.m.

DAY 34 - 29/08/2025

Today was the Onam celebration in SCVBHS Chirayinkeezhu. The programmes included vadamvali, sundarik pottu thodal, and dance performances. We also enjoyed every programmes. The students were very active and participated eagerly in all the games. In the afternoon, there was a delicious Onam Sadhya for both students and teachers. We captured memories through photographs with teachers and students. We left the school after 3:00 p.m.

     As a part of our B.Ed curriculum, we 11 student teachers of Sree Narayana Training College Nedunganda went to Sree Chithiravilasam Boys High School Chirayinkeezhu for our  Phase 1 Internship Programme. Our group consisted of three students from English optional, three students from Physical Science optional, two students from Social Science optional and two students from Natural Science optional. The first phase of our internship started on 14th July 2025. Internship Phase I Reflective Journal (Week 10)

Day 43 22/09/2025 Today I reached the school at 7:45 a.m. and after having breakfast, we wrapped the prizes for the winners of the competition held as part of the conscientization programme on the topic Health, hygieine and awareness. At 9.15 a.m., we signed the morning attendance and asked the permission of the headmistress to distribute the prizes during the school assembly. The assembly began with prayer and pledge by the students, followed by a short talk by the headmistress. Afterwards, Rohini invited the headmistress to distribute the prizes to the winners of the competition. Karishma called the students to the stage. Today Rani Miss came to observe classes. As Chitra miss have already done my class observation, I didn't have class observation today. Today I had period on the second period.
