Internship Phase 1: Reflective (Journal Week 2)
Day 6 - 21/07/2025
I reached the school at 8:30 a.m. Today there was no unit test. So we didn't have any exam duty. At 9:30 a.m., we signed the attendance register. Today my class was on the second period. Some of the students were not present in the class as there was a movie screening in the school. The school hour ended at 3:45 p.m. with the national anthem. At 3:55 p.m., I left the school.
Day 7 - 22/07/2025
There was no class today because, it was declared as a public holiday due to the passing of our ex chief minister Sri V S Achuthanandan.
Day 8 - 23/07/2025
Today we reached the school by 7:50 a.m. After having our breakfast we signed the attendance register at 9:05 a.m. I had class on the fifth period today. On the 3rd period, as IX C was free, I also took that period. Because of this I managed to finish the first chapter allotted to me, 'The Debts of Gratitude' written by Selma Lagerlof. Today I also checked whether the students have properly written all the works that I gave them. In the fifth period, some of the students arrived late after the lunch break. The class was a bit noisy today, and got a while to get started. But after that the students were alright. We left school today at 3:50 p.m.
Day 9 - 25/07/2025
Today I reached school at 8:00 a.m. As there is an NSS camp going on, NSS volunteers from an engineering college was also there. After eating the breakfast, we met with the headmistress and signed the attendance register. Today my designated period was fourth period, but I had to substitute it with the seventh period. Today I started the new chapter 'Nothing Twice' by Wislawa Szymborska. Today there was also a cultural programme in the afternoon for the LP students. Some of us were asked to invigilate the programme as judges. We left school at 4:00 p.m.
Day 10 - 26/07/2025
As 24/07/2025 was a holiday, today was a working day. I reached school at 7:50 a.m. Today I had class on the 2nd period as we were following thursday's time table. But I couldn't take the class as the number of students was very less and all the students of different divisions were integrated into one class. Due to PSC exam in the afternoon, we had class only till 12:00 p.m. We left the school at 12:10 p.m.
